THEIC is used in coating industry for heat resistant wire enamels, electrical insulatings, alkyd resins, urethanes, water-soluble stoving enamels and polyesters. It is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of dyes, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and plasticizers.
